  Mobile learning is defined as a subset of learning situations mediated by mobile devices. Mobile learning is presented as a complement, extension and improvement of the methods of learning via virtual learning environments via the Web. Many authors describe a more current and modern design which would be mobile learning. For them, mobile learning is the study of how to leverage personal and portable technologies for effective education. The term also encompasses technologies that enable learning located in urban and external contexts.
